Chanukkah is a way of life that was established by Yahuah in the Garden of Eden. It's very function is submerged in the discpline that produces a healthy way of living and longevity in accordance to Yah's Commandments. It has the essence of training one up in the ways of dedication, and consecration. Bible scriptures help us to see this woven into the fabric of Torah in the Old and New Covenant. In the book of Makkabiym Sheniy (2 Maccabees), the Greeks began to profane the temple and make it illegal for the children of Israel to follow the commandments of the Most High. This challenged the discipline and training and the way of life for them. The fight led by Jonathan Maccabbees insight to the significance of upholding Torah and the true function of dedication.
